    Hello everyone! I am new to this site and to straight shaving. As the title to this thread shows, I am from Elmira, NY. I just bought my first straight razor and I did like most rookies do by buying a brand new Edelwiess. I have plenty of questions but I will save them for another thread(s).

    Welcome to SRP!! Glad you signed up!

    Great part of the country, Elmira. My wife is from Wellsville, 80 or so miles west. Always enjoy our visits back there and fly in and out of Elmira.

    Started to ask about your razor beginning professionally honed, but went to your other post and got the answers.

    So, I'll just say Welcome to the forum again and see you on the other threads!!

    Sirstropalot, I work with a guy whose family owns the chinese resturant in Wellsville and I graduated from Alfred State so I know that area a little bit. Stimpy I grew up east of Rochester in a little town called North Rose. Thank you all for the warm welcome.
