Hello from Southern Maryland
Stopping in to introduce myself. My name is Chris. Username Sandycrack.
I live in Jacksonville, FL, but live/work as geographic bachelor in Southern Maryland (Pax River area) most of the year.
I have many hobbies including motorcycles, 18th century living history, guns, hunting, fishing, tattoos, darts, and trivia.
My Dad has collected straight razors, mugs, soaps, and other barber paraphanelia for years. It struck my interest, so I just purchased a vintage "Tomohawk" razor and started shaving with it. Now, I'm also collecting vintage razors with the hope of restoring a couple for use (Wade & Butcher smiling blade, and a Dubl Duck Goldedge).
If you live in the Southern MD area, I'd like to hear from you.

Hi Chris - Welcome to the friendliest and most helpful forum on the internet. I now live in Florida but was a longtime resident of St. Marys Co. At different times I lived in Sandgates, Mechanicsville, Chaptico, Leonardtown and Lexington Park. You will find tons of information on this site to help you with your restorations and the answers to most questions that may come up. Never hesitate to post about any problems you may be having, as there is always someone to come along and point you in the right direction.

Welcome to the 'Place'
Don't know about vintage Tomohawk razors but modern ones are on this list:

If it's one of those you'll find the W&B or Dubl Duck a whole different ball game. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Ha! I'm such a Noob. My razor is a George Wostenholm & Sons pipe razor. (Pipe looks a little like a tomahawk though.) LOL! It's good shaver.
I'm currently refurbishing a Joseph Elliott's Hollow Ground (it's not a W&B). I'll post pics when it's completed.

Pipes & Tomahawks, like Apples & Oranges.
