Thread: Greetings from Slovenia

Hi everyone,

I'm from a chicken shaped country called Slovenia, which is right between Italy and Austria. It's an amazing place with alps, sea, beautiful lakes, magical caves, vineyards bathing in golden sun and a bunch of brainless leaders. Here's a map of it so you can get a better idea:

In any case, I've just recently bought my first ever straight razor. Not even my granddad had one, which is kinda of a shame. I did a lot of research and I've decided that I won't spend a lot of money on my first razor, because I would probably end up ruining it while trying to learn everything with it. I do take maniacal care of it, but you never know. I've ended up getting a starter set from The Invisible Edge. It had everything and the razor was honed before being shipped off.

I've had three shaves so far and I'm really loving it. I feel like I'm making a lot of progress with each shave, because it was always better and smoother than the time before. I'm currently doing one pass only out of precaution and we'll see how it goes from there.

I've learnt most of the things from this page and I'm happy to be here. It seems like a great community and I hope that I'll be able to give something back in the future.
