Hey gents, from New Jersey
Regards to all from John in NJ. Been a wet shaver for the past 5 years (a Rooney silver-tip, Merkur 34-d & blades) and will never go back. Just purchased a Dovo Special (tortoise shell scales) and am 4 shaves in with that. Your comments, posts and advice here have been extremely helpful!
Got a Norton 4k/8k yesterday and gave it a try. My Dovo was honed by the seller, but I wanted to make sure I was able to hone to that same sharpness or better. Took me 3 times of starting over before I got the edge right, but I got it. Again, thanks for the tips here.
Now, if we can get more guys to appreciate a proper shave, tighten up the foul language, and remember their chivalry, the world will be a better place!Leatherstockiings likes this.

I agree with with your sentiments although I enjoy some cussin' and spittin' when ladies or children are not present.
