Thread: New from Okinawa

Greetings everyone!

I've been thinking of picking up a straight razor for some time now(kind of getting tired of spending so much on disposable cartridges), and my impending divorce seems to have gotten rid of that nagging voice in my head that's kept me from taking the plunge. I probably won't post that often because I tend to gather most of my info through searches rather than asking questions myself, but I will probably post my acquisitions(I can imagine this could become something of a collector's hobby once I get into it).

Anyway, I figured I should introduce myself and say thanks to everyone for providing so much information about an otherwise obscure activity.

Welcome to SRP! I understand being tired of the expense of cartridge razors. The expense and waste of cartridges was the main factor in my switch to straights.
Given your location you might be able to find some unique razors locally.

(I can imagine this could become something of a collector's hobby once I get into it).
