Hello and welcome to SRP.
Still call myself a newbie but glad to offer my limited experience.
You will read good things about the Dovo especially those new to straights.
As a first blade I would highly recommend it. Make all your mistakes on a reasonably priced straight as there are always good deals on more expensive blades.S.L.A.M.,.......SHAVE LIKE A MAN!!!
