    Hi,

    My name is Darren. I began lurking this site a few months back. It was very helpful for me in deciding if I wanted to try straights, and what equipment I might require for the journey. I don't think there is much you can't find via a site search here.

    Been shaving with a straight for a couple of weeks now. I've been deeply enjoying the process of learning to shave and strop. Eventually, I'm sure I'll equally enjoy learning maintenance and honing. I'm a total newbie, but I've been happy with the shaves. If the result itself isn't always great, the process is, and I always have a smile after using my straight.

    I originally come from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Canada). I've been living in Taiwan for the last 16-17 years. It is a pleasure to meet all of you online. I've been impressed with the depth and breadth of knowledge here, along with the friendly and helpful tenor of the site. Thanks All.
