Jamie, they are really pretty, especially the yew, I like the lighter wood, and the veins in it are just stunning.

Thank you!
Jamie, that is some beautiful wood on both those razors. I've not seen Yew of any nationality before. I love the look and the grain.

You can of course buy scales, the Revisor site has some, with pins. I've never unpinned a razor but if you head to The Workshop area of the site you'll find some info there. I believe normally the old pin is knocked out. I have a razor that has nice Canadian Maple scales and the pin is a tiny tiny bolt with nuts on either side. This is a good idea, i think, as i can tighten the scales easily when they loosen. That also means you don't have to learn how to pin the razor. I believe the back of a heavy spoon can be used to tap the end of the pin to pin the razor.
Sorry i'm not much help.
You're right of course, but it's not like someone has asked how to lap a hone and I'm off on a tangent talking about how astonishingly ripped and muscular my forearms are becoming from bouldering. I'm sure if anyone wants to they can pipe up and say hello to MrPeters.
I am starting to feel bad now, I might just stop talking about it.
Well Carl...Without pictures it just ain't happening. You have to post a before and after pic of you ripped forearms...;).
