Hello, just researching straight razors as I got a *shave with one for the first time awhile back at a nice barber. Now it's time to get my own and do it myself!

Before I start asking loads of questions, I'll be sure to dive into a few threads. Links to great beginner threads welcomed, however I see the beginner link so I'm off to there now.

    Cheers.

Welcome to great shaving. There are mentors in your area to give you a hand.

We are moving to Milwaukee next month (Oak Creek, Franklin, ?) if that is close to you.
If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Hello and welcome, its good to see you are doing a bit of research yourself, there is heaps of information to go through, there is also the wiki, and a search function on the top right of the forum page.
All that being said feel free to ask questions.
If you have not wet shaved before, or if you have but have not used proper shaving soap or cream and a brush, you will need to look into that area too. If you already wet shave but don't have these you can get and use them now, it will probably improve the shave you currently do, and by the time you get your razor, you will be well on the way with prep.
    All the best,
    Ed
