Thread: Hello from Utah!

Hello everyone! I stumbled on this forum via other shaving forums, but I've been wanting to take the plunge in straight razor shaving. Double edge is fun and all, but something really tickles my fancy about using steel that's over 100 years old. I've already won a couple auctions on the 'Bay, so I'll have my hand at restoring. I'll be contacting a local honemeister to get everything sharp enough to use, and see how I do!

What is your favorite shave setup?

So far I really like Strop Shoppe's Barbershoppe with tallow. So slick and nice. I also really like the Proraso green croap with Krampert's Frostbite aftershave. Gillette Fatboy is my go-to razor, but my Schick Adjustable Injector works so well. Prefered blades are Gillette 7 O'Clock blacks, and Shark Super Chrome.

What are your hobbies and favorite activities?

Cars, cars, and cars. Moustache waxing and photography.
