    Lol pain......ill bet.

My razor is a schumate's barber del luxe 9/16" round point. Looks like a hollow ground but in not sure. It's old and worn but no nicks, cracks, or chips in the blade and while there is patina there is very shallow if any pitting and none on the edge. I'm restoring it now and then ill have it honed.

That is a very wise decision, it will give you a good reference for what is considered shave-ready. If you decide to practise honing yourself, I recommend doing so on a different razor.

Good luck with your project, and don't forget to make before-and-after pictures!

Welcome Brian - Sounds like you made a good find. I have a couple of Shumates and like them a lot. Where are you located in Florida? There are quite a few members on the forum who may be located near to you and could give you some hands-on help. Good luck with your restoration.

    Regards - Walt

Not a bad price. Feel free to post pics and welcome to the site. I've been here for almost a year and I honestly don't know how much I've read but there is enough information to keep me busy for another year easily.
