Thread: Hello from VA

Hi all, my name is Chad and I live just south of Roanoke, Va. I have been "lurking" for a while now and became a member couple weeks ago, figured it was time to introduce myself. Well first off, I have been DE shaving a few months now and really enjoyed the change in my attitude about shaving it brought on. Now I don't mind to shave at all, it really has become a relaxing time for me. I just make sure I have the time to do it and not feel rushed. Well after I kinda got over my case of RAD over DE and SE razors, about a month and half ago I decided to get a SR, the RAD came back and I acquired a few straights. I have some Wade & Butcher's, some Boker's, a couple others. After reading info on here and other places, and watching youtube videos, I gave SR shaving a shot about a month ago. The first try was not very successful and I cut myself pretty good. I licked my wounds and gave it another try about a week later and haven't turned back since. I look forward to learning as much as I can from this forum.
