Hi there!
Well i just got into straight razors and am loving it. Any help with stuff in the future is welcome
im in south CA. One question i do have is how do you keep from scratching a mirror finish when honing? Thanks all.

If you have the spine and edge in contact with the hone they should be the only areas affected and if you tape the spine only the edge. To hone successfully you would polish the area being honed. If you are scratching it your doing something wrong. Good luck.
