    Honing is my thing

    That said, from what I can tell seeing the pictures, all it would need imho is a proper rubbing with a metal-polish and some cleaning.
    You can quite easily do that yourself, no problems with the print on the blade.
    That will not be affected by any metal-polish on a cloth.
    You need to watch out when it comes to gold-wash, but for this kind of markings, no worries at all.

    Send me the razor, and I'll give it a good scrubbing without removing any markings or stuff like that.
    If you find that doesn't meet your needs, you could always send it of to a restorer nearby.
    (there is one here in Oslo, Zephyr, which is a talented chap that does fine work)

    If you do find that to be good enough for that razor, fine, you'll have saved a little time, and you will have a shave-ready razor with a lot of history and some character
