Welcome to SRP. Your face will get used to it and your technique will improve. I have never used a DE but the rest say it's a whole nuther animal you got now :<0) I am sure you have been reading, watch your angle keep it light.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Well, Shave 2 on day 2 went a lot better, still got a little razor burn, but not much, added to my collection of little lines across my neck & chin, but actually a pretty good shave..... if you dont count the blood :-)

shave three - day 3. I went back and read some more yesterday, because it seemed my SRD honed Dovo prima klang wasnt very sharp... amazing how much sharper it got when i read a little and discovered my angle was all wrong - doh. still better shave than yesterday, no more issues with the razor tugging and no razor burn - thanks to the advise - just try to remove the lather, not cut your wiskers. this was a good mental picture for me

One odd thing i have noticed is that the quality of the shave seems to improve through the day. With a DE, if there was an area that didnt get shaved well and i could feel some slight stubble, that was just how it would be through the day, With the straight it has seemed that 30 - 60 minutes AFTER the shave those rough spots have greatly diminish and my face is smother... cant quite figure it out...... but i like it

    Thanks everyone!

    Don,
    Congrats on the improved results.
It only gets better from here.

There will be mornings where it just doesn't come together. Don't get discouraged...like this month's beginner's tip says; Go Slow

Thanks for the kind word, and I certainly understand, the truth that some mornings it just will not be working so good. Thanks for the encouragement in advance on those days
