Hey,
Been DE wet shaving since April, figured it was time I try a straight. I picked up a Dovo La Forme from the classifieds here and received it today.
Although I had a mishap with the razor (see here), I'm excited to give it a try soon.
I think I understand the fundamentals of shaving with a straight razor, I just need to learn more about caring for a carbon steel razor.
Looking forward to being apart of the forum and learning more about straight razor shaving!

Hi and welcome. Just keep it light(just wipe the lather off) and do a decent prep and your half way. The rest is by experience. Good luck.

Welcome Tom to the forum and to straight razor shaving, from a fellow Pennsylvanian. Sorry to see your mishap. Theres alot to learn with this obsession so take it slow and dont be afraid to ask plenty of questions.
