    Default New member to SRP checking in

    Hello all. Been a lurker for awhile here. I am definitely not new to straights. I started shaving with them before I had ever tried a cartridge razor. I never had a thick beard or shaved more than a few times a month for almost a couple of decades. In that time I also used shavettes' almost exclusively for about ten years. I had went back to cartridges a few years back due to misplacing my shavettes and finding " my old straight " that i had since I was a teenager was chipped. A recent gift of a new Dovo straight with some soap and a mug got me back on path again. I was pretty rusty with a real straight from all the years of the different pressure of using a cheapo shavette, I also decided to take up honing, and well here I am. I would like to thank SRP for all the info and the members for this great community as well.
