    Default A new lurker convert...

    Howdy!

I've been lurking on this site now for a couple of months and figured what the heck, register and contribute when possible. I've been DE shaving since early September when the topic came up on a gun forum I frequent and haven't looked back. In a very short amount of time, I've discovered that my ideal irritation free, relaxing and euphoric shave involves a tin of either Barrister & Mann, Mike's or LA Shaving Soap lathered with a silvertip boar and mowed down with a Voskhod blade.

I must say, I need to hide my credit card, I've bought wayyyyyy to much stuff for this

Addiction to items within this forum will lead to a life of crime against the budget. The best way to view this forum is blind and facing away from the screen. Yhen and only then can useful information be transmitted to your brain. Welcome to the ride of a life time and enjoy, ask and sit on your wallet.

Welcome. You haven't used a straight yet ? That's okay, I haven't used a DE yet :<0) See with a straight comes the added pleasure of seeking strops and hones, making scales. My claim to fame ? Increasing e-Bay stock by 20 % when I first started buying straights :<0)

    Hi,

It is nice to have you join the SRP group. I do hope you'll be joining the straight shavers brotherhood as well. Nothing wrong with DE shaving, but so many more cool things to shop for with a straight; the razor (modern production, restored antique, custom built, etc.), strops (production or artisanal), hones (a virtually endless variety),...and on, and on, and on...

I most certainly plan on getting a straight razor soon. There is so much to choose from my head spins!
