Thanked: 0wifeofjjsrp - Tampa USA
My husband loves using a straight razor. I don't mind, but where to get the supplies without breaking my piggy bank?

Theres an Art of Shaving store in one of the malls over there. I can't remember where though. They are pretty expensive though for their razors and brushes but there soaps and the like are of decent value. There soap with a bowl cost 50 dollars but will last several months if not longer. As for any other store it mostly all on the internet. What are you looking for maybe I could help. I hate buying stuff off the internet and have found quite a few hole in the wall places that sell what most of us are looking for on this site.

Of you have an idea of what you are looking for, I would recommend Straight Razor Design, or any of the vendors that run adverts on this sight.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Thanked: 10Yes, definitely check out Straight Razors Design. Very competitive prices and they are extremely helpful on the phone. I was clueless and they got me on the right path. You'll do much better talking to and ordering from SRD than you would piecing things together at Art of Shaving or Amazon.

Thanked: 0Many thanks, due to budgetary concerns, the Art of Shaving is too expensive. It is in International Mall, by the airport.

Thanked: 0Dear Mick,
jjspr is a very smart man where finances are concerned and we always agree in advance on a major purchase...and considering the cost of some of this, it could qualify! lol. Many thanks.<todo add signature>
