Thanked: 0Hello From Florida, Very Interesting find!!!!!
Hello Everyone,
I have enjoyed reading all of the information that has been shared on your forum & Thank you for this. I was hoping that a few of you would be kind enough to share some more of your wisdom pertaining to this interesting find. It seems that the tip has been broken but I still enjoy the craftsmanship of this fine German blade. All I am aware of is (THE OBVIOUS) that the Box says John Primble India Steel Works Extra Ground and MFD. Germany and the Razor is Marked H. BOKER & CO with a TREE under the name, on the reverse is Germany. I have not found or seen any other Razor with this type of grind which is very comfortable. I would appreciate any feed back that you wish to enlighten me with.

Hi, welcome to SRP. That looks like a Boker model 1056 to me. Worked spine and barber's notch. Looks like that one may have a chip at the point or it may be camera angle. Very good shavers and the box is a mismatch. Common with razors then and now.

Thanked: 1184Nice old Boker with a fancy spine. Looks like you have some work to do on it. Beside the broke off toe is that a chip near the heel ?
There is a thread you may be interested in >>> http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...otherhood.html . Your razor is on the first page.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 0Yes, there is a small chip on the heal and the edge is going to need a bit of work along with a slight rounding of the tip to remove the sharp point. (What do you think I should do to the tip ?) Thanks for the path to Boker, this is going to be addictive; here is to the weekend & it looks like I know what I'm doing.
