Thread: hello , from memphis

hi guys love looking thru this site decided to join , still trying to decide which razor to buy, I use double edge already. what really interested me is that Lynn is from Cape almost a home town boy as I have a farm over by Piedmont, Fredricktown, and from all I have gathered he is the man ,, i may be able to get advice from the legend hisself! thanks for the forum guys maybe someone will direct me to a good razor to start with tc

Welcome to SRP!
I would recommend going with a razor from Straight Razor Designs for a new razor; either a Dovo Best Quality or Ralf Aust in 5/8.

Welcome to SRP! 1+ on looking at SRD for new razors, but, if you're at all interested in vintage, check the classifieds here. You can save a little $$$ on the initial setup while also getting a truly shave ready razor. IMO you shouldn't get too caught up on the brand (at least for the first one), just find a shave ready 5/8 or 6/8 in good shape; these are readily available in the classifieds at reasonable prices. edit: While not being overly concerned with brand, I do highly recommend checking out the beginners' section of the library for a list of brands not to buy.
