    Default Greetings and a question?

Hi all from Kent, England, UK and I am excited to be beginning my journey into the world of SR shaving.

I have acquired a cut throat (as we englanders call them) from a friend who is a barber. He was given a wooden box by a customer which contained seven razors, 2 old but unused hones and 2 hand operated clippers.

I picked one which was the best of the bunch condition wise and was the prettiest.

Where can I post the pics on this forum so that I may learn some history of the razor?

The razor section would be a good place to post a pic. It helps to do several pics, especially the stamps on the tang. Looking forward to seeing your cutthroat.

    And welcome to SRP!

The SRP razor database is a great place to look up razors by maker name and model. Also, in the blog section there are write ups that give the history of razor manufacturers. Finally, in the razor section there are sub-forums of razor clubs where you an see many examples bases on manufacturers. For instance there is the Boker Brotherhood devoted to razors made by Boker.

Here is a link to the razor database.

Welcome to the forum. I also look forward to seeing this razor of yours. And just as a point of interest. We here in Australia also call them cut-throats...Well those that aren't indoctrinated into using the vernacular of the majority member base do anyway...
