Thanked: 0Err, hello....
Well, I guess this is where I get started; I'm Nusse, currently living in Switzerland.
I began shaving with a straight razor about a year and a half ago and have been very happy with the experience although I guiltily admit to having slipped to safety razors occasionally, shame on me.
The main reason I'm here is to learn more and perfect my shaving as well as my honing and stripping as I'm pretty sure there's progress to be made.
Anyway, I look forward to spending time here and finding out more about the joys of proper shaving.
Cheers!

Hi Nusse, and welcome to SRP!
If you're looking to learn more about straight razor shaving you have definitely come to the right place. There is an absolute wealth of information here, both in the forum and in the wiki (for that, follow the "Library" link near the top-left of the page above). And if you have questions, ask away.
And there's no shame at all in using a safety razor. Plenty of use use them at least some of the time, and some of use us them all the time, so you are among friends here.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 485Hi and welcome to the forum! We can offer a LOT of advice on honing, but I'm guessing the advice on stripping wil be limited For the first, I advise checking out the library and honing forum, for the second, the movie The Full Monty may assist...
(sorry, couldn't resist)

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Oh Carl, you're so cheeky I was smiling inside too. I think predictive text etc has a lot to answer for. Amazingly my phone hasn't inserted sone bizzare word of it's own accord. Well except for "sone".
Welcome to the forum Nusse. Are you having any specific issues we can help with?
Best regards

Hi and welcome. The search is really useful for trying to pin point specific questions. Pay no mind to us Aussies. We tend to mess around a fair bit, especially that Ed fellow.
