Hey Guys, new to the sight. Love shaving with straigt razors. I am an avid knife collector and I also make knives. Straight razor shaving comes as second nature. I am also interested in restoration, but with three young children, time is limitted. Enjoy the sight very much.

Welcome to SRP. I had a family member, born and raised in Mississippi, who moved to Louisiana. He used to say that they made him "an honorary coon ass."

( For anyone unfamiliar with the title, it is a nickname taken on by residents of certain parishes of Louisiana, particularly in Bayou country IIRC)

Correct! The name does not have any negative connotations and generally implies that a person is resourceful and able to live off the land. I am originally from North Louisiana and they still call me a Yankee despite being down here for almost 20 yrs.
