Hello from Colorado
After wet shaving with a DE for the past year, I've decided to try out a straight razor. I have a flawed sight unseen razor and poor mans strop kit on the way from whipped dog and can't wait to get started. I've already found loads of invaluable advice here and I'm sure I'll continue to need it.

Sounds like you have done some reading and research and that you should have the lathering and prep well under control.
I have heard good things about Larry's edges (no personal experience) so you should be in good shape when you get it.
