Another new guy here
Hey guys, I'm Josh from St. Louis. I played around with a crappy straight razor a few years ago but settled on a 1960's Gillete DE safety razor and a shavette. Recently came across an old Simmons Hardware straight that was in good enough condition to save, so I cleaned it up and just sent it off to be honed. Looking forward to trying out straight razor shaving again! Might stick with it now that I have a decent blade. Didn't realize there was such a following for wet shaving, so this is pretty awesome. Good to be here.

Thanked: 2209Welcome to SRP
One of the best things you can do is to meet with some local SRP guys for 1 on 1 Q&A and demo. It will shorten your learning curve a lot. Towards that end here are a few SRP guys in the St. Louis area.

The first one in the list, Lynn, is the founder of this forum and lives about 100 miles south of you. It would be worth the trip. Watch his videos on youtube, they will help a lot.Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin
