    Default Hello from NC!

    Hi all!
I just found this forum a little wile ago and just HAD to join. I have always new interested in straight razor shaving and recently saw something about it. I decided to learn some more about this facinating art and was overwhelmed by the shear amount of knowledge here! Anyway, I have bee looking for a good intro razor to start with, and have been eying eBay for a good one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and any bargains or fixer-uppers would be great! I can work with wood and have access to various tools. and happy late thanksgiving to all!

Hi and welcome. Check the classidieds or site vendors for a starter razor. You can easily go wrong with ebay purchases to start with and its unlikely to be shave ready and since you don't know what shave ready is you won't know if you honed it properly or not. Check the starter info in the library and do some reading to make sure you start on the right foot. Good luck. Ed
