#My strop is the one thing I'm looking to upgrade. Any recommendations for a long-lasting 3" stop that won't break the bank are welcome!

Got into straight razor shaving about 9+ months ago because the 5-bladed head cartridges were costing an arm and a leg. Also, I had shaving bumps on my neck for years. Now I wet shave with a straight edge and no more bumps, and no more $20 packs of shaving heads. My whole beginner's setup cost about $50- strop, razor, brush, brush-holder, bowl, soap cake.

I have my best results not using hot water on my face. I just use something between room temp and body temp water.

I build my lather in a bowl and am currently using a soap cake, but am planning on switching to cream for lather-portion control purposes.
