Formal Introduction
Hi Everyone,
I figure that since I've liked and even commented on a few posts that I should formally introduce myself.
My name is Jonathan and I live in Columbia, SC - USA. I've been wetshaving with a DE for a little over a year now and I'm excited and ready to transition to Straights. I have a really bad case of MAD and so when I got ready to switch I jumped in with both feet. I have a W&B Round Point, and a German WM Elliot Round Point off for honing and light restoration and a Dubl Duck Round Point Goldedge waiting to go out for the same. After reading a while I ordered a SRD Modular Paddle Strop and a couple extra pieces of leather for spares.
As a RADaholic I will admit that even though I won't use them for a while I also have a Round Point Pearl King and two more Dubl Ducks that will need cleaning/ light restoration at some point as well. Yes, I know this brings me to six straights and I haven't even touched my face with one yet. I can't help it, I have a problem... But, I'm totally good with it .
Oh, and my avatar is my 8 year old Golden Retriever Issac "Ike" who is my best buddy.
Jonathan

Welcome to SRP! Sounds like you got the bug good. Take it easy with your first shave so you don't have any regrets. Good luck!

Thanked: 13245Welcome to SRP Jonathan,
Much appreciated that you took the time to introduce yourself..
You might want to hunt down the "Get Together & Meet ups" forum I know for a fact that we have a quite large and active membership in your area, and honestly if you get the chance to either attend a Meet or meet with a mentor over coffee or a beer I would highly recommend it ..
Have fun and feel free to ask questions...
