Hey Terry, hows it going. What kind of razor(s) you got. Any questions you have.

I have a few stones that I use to hone on from arkansas. They're super nice, although a lot of people don't like them because they're slow. I find them to be worth the effort, and there really isn't that much more effort to be put into them.

Welcome to SRP Terry. What part of Arkansas do you live in? I used to be an avid fly fisherman and spent a lot of time on the Little Red, Norfork, and White Rivers trout fishing

Right Now, all I have is a Dovo razor. I assume it shaves good , however, like I said it is my first razor.

I live in the Ft. Smith Area, and I too love to flyfish the streams you mentioned.

I'd love to retire to the Mountain Home area. So how are your shaves going?

My first razor was a DOVO too. They are quality shavers and while my vintage razors are better than it, they were made in a different time when quality meant whether or not you got sales or not. Today modern straights don't have the same level of competition as they did back in the day. Still a DOVO will get you where you need to go and some more. I can get a BBS from my DOVO. Really the only difference between my vintage razors and my modern ones is the smoothness and comfort.

Hi and welcome. Was the razor hand honed or factory edge. If factory you will find there is likely more you could be getting from your razor. Check out the library as a lot of the questions you will have are answered there. Good luck and any questions just ask away. Ed
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed

I'm a little late seeing this but welcome from a fellow Arkansan! I'm in the Little Rock area but have loved fishing all the areas mentioned.
