    Default Wet shaving in Texas

So... After months of badgering my wife she finally gave in. She got me the buffalo horn set from straightrazors.com for Christmas. I've enjoyed a total of 5 shaves so far.
I'm happy to join the community and look forward to the advise and conversations. Hoping to get my shave tuned in and get the BBS and less irritation that's been eluding me with cartridge shaving!
    Thanks
    Scott

Where in Texas are you? I just bought my first straight razor, and my wife finally got on board with the idea too!

Welcome to the forums. There are a lot of Houstonians on board -- check this thread http://straightrazorpalace.com/get-t...151-texas.html for meets in the Houston area.

Thanks I'm soaking in as much information as i can handle. Where can i find someone to send out for honing when it's time? I think I'll wait to learn that until i have a second razor...

Welcome to SRP. Glad you've been enjoying your shaves. You can find people in the members services section of the classifieds that offer honing services. Is this the set you got?

That's it. It didn't come with that exact strop or case but It was shave ready in my novice opinion. Doesn't pull and I'm already getting little to no irritation on my cheeks

Glad to hear you're having success. While I don't have any hands-on experience with this razor, I have seen other posts about them having issues.
