    Default Shavin' and Blazin'

Hello everyone from Northern VA. I am a full time firefighter/paramedic in the DC area and have recently gotten into straight shaving. My grandfather did it and now I am following in his footsteps. Being a firefighter, i have very little time for myself. So when i get in quarters before shift change i like to relax with a shower and a shave. I also found I have pretty sensitive skin on my neck which gives me bumps and ingrown hairs after a standard shave. I never got those bumps at the barber when they straight shaved me so i figured I would try it out myself.

I have done a lot of reading on this site and others before purchasing my first razor: A Dovo Buffalo horn 5/8 with silver tip brush from SRD. My first shave went well...a few battle wounds but nothing I'm not use to handling at work. Looking forward to learning more from everyone else.

    Welcome to SRP.
A man should only look in the mirror when he shaves.
