    Cool New year, new habits!

Hi all! I used to be a member here but forgot my username and think it was created under an old email I deleted. Oh well. I have been on and off straight razor shaving for about 6 years. I started in high school. As one can imagine it was difficult to maintain a razor while living in the dorms, a frat house, and a tiny 4 bedroom apartment in college. However, now I'm all grown up, got that degree, so have disposable (unlike my razors LOL) income and my own place. Woo.

Been back on the straight razor game for about 3 months now. Just ordered a new badger brush with stand, got a new Illinois strop, and pasted up my old Dovo strop that had major water damage and a bunch of nicks. I currently have a 5/8" Bengal full hollow ground with a square point and a 6/8" Dovo Solingen quarter hollow ground with a rounded point (my first razor) which both need some love.

Really excited to be joining you all and cant wait to get back to BBS shaving! Now here's hoping I can fend off the temptation to just shave off this beard I've worked so hard on growing over the winter (it's starting to get cooooold here).

    Alright, thanks for listening. Cheers!
