Thanked: 0Hello from Debrecen, Hungary
Hello everyone!
I came across this site after I was love king for info about straight razors.
I had been wanting one for a long time, but got my "1st one" about a year ago. That was a birthday gift, and one of those with an exchangeable blade.
Dunno if those are very different from a normal blade, but I have finally ordered myself a Bijou de France from TI, and fear it will be one out of many.
A lot of great tips and advices on this page, and full of info about things that I didn't even know that I wanted to know.
SPLENDID!
That said, I was just pasting my 4 sided paddle strop an unfortunately managed to spill some (a 1mm line running across) of 6 microns onto what I planned to use for 0.25 microns. I immediately threw some tissue paper on it, and managed to soak most up. But is the leather now ruined for a lower grit?
Best to all of you!

Hi, and welcome to SRP! As you have already seen, there is a wealth of knowledge on the site here.
I can't help you with your strop question, but I can suggest a great place to ask it:
Strops
Post a thread there, and I'm sure there will be plenty of help for you.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 0It was towards the end. But no color remained, only a 1 mm widw wet mark (as if a drop of water ran over it).
Now there's no mark /evidence what so ever...
