Default Hello from a Kiwi greenhorn.

    Hi Folks,
I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and have already picked up a heap of good info so I already owe you all a big thanks. Nearly every google search that I did ended up directing me back to this site which says something.
I just shaved off a whole years worth of growth with a hunting knife. It was nowhere near sharp enough, it wasn't passing the HHT properly. So needless to say it was a rather uncomfy and messy shave, but very very fun at the same time. I'll try and get the video uploaded to youtube if anyone wants a laugh.
I'm hanging out to pick up a shave ready straight and start learning.

    Kev

Would like to see that video... years ago I had an electric razor which died halfway through a shave. I tried to finish with a global kitchen knife (very sharp from Japan) but it burned my skin heaps and I didnt finish, ended up going down to store and buying a disposable.

I just spent a whole two hours trying to get it uploaded onto youtube, GRRRRRRrrrrr.
I've never uploaded a video before. I'll try and get some help tomorrow. It's 1am here now and time for lights out.

I never managed to get it uploaded to youtube and then I went and gave my phone a swim in the sea...... Bugger! I did however upload to my face book page. I don't know how get it from facebook to somewhere else, so I've put it up for public view. If anyone wants a look, you should be able to find me by searching for: Kevin Hall Christchurch. I hope that works. Failing that, does anyone know how to get it from facebook to youtube?
