Hello from Japan
Hi everyone,
I've been referring to this forum a lot over the last 3-4 months since I started traditional wet shaving (and it has been extremely helpful), so I finally made an account.
I'm from California (SoCal) originally, but work in an office job in Tokyo at the moment. The location makes it quite a pain when shopping for new razors and my favorite soaps, but at least it's cheap and easy to get some of the best stones.
Anyway, thanks for all the help so far and I look forward to actually engaging in some of the discussions.

Welcome.
Great that you left the shadows and stepped into the lightSometimes I feel normal.
Then it's time to lay down and wait for it to pass.

Welcome to the SRP, have you got around to looking for vintage Japanese razors yet? I would imagine you could find a few in antique markets or boot sales.

Thanked: 1184Hi and welcome. While your there look into some of those old villages that specialize in cutlery. Send me 2 tons of the finest secret sword steel you can find :<0) Just kidding of course but what an opportunity for adventure your job has put you in.

Thanks guys.
Actually, I haven't looked into the Japanese razors yet, but I will certainly do so sometime while I'm here. I've gotten a couple kitchen knives though and they're awesome. If anyone has tips about where to look I'm all ears.
