Thanked: 0New guy from Texas
Hi! i'm Durlon, I'm from Dallas, Tx. I've been shaving my face and head with the Gillette cartridges, costing me a LOT per month, since I'm shaving bald. I've been looking to get into shaving with straight razors for a little while now. I recently bought a Merkur DE to get started with. I've been using that for the last week or so now, and I really like it. Now I'm wanting to transition into straight razors, for my face at least and use the DE for the rest of my head.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Texan. You will surely find lots of good info from very knowledgeable people here. I'm new to this myself so the only advice I can offer is to do a lot of reading here and watch lots of the members videos. Take it slow at first and enjoy the ride.

Thanked: 0Thanks! I do plan on taking it very slow, the thought of using a SR makes me nervous, but not as bad as it did before I started using a DE. I bought some SR's but need to get them honed/shave ready before I try them.
