Thread: Hi from Austin, TX

Hi all,

James from England here - living in Austin, Texas!

I'm new to this game, about a month in with a disposable blade Parker to try it out (and loved it). Now just got a 7/8 Thiers Issard Blades Grim. Mixed reviews on this I see, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Even this one was a lot of money for me so I hope to make it work for now at least.

Still haven't stropped or honed obviously, so there is much to learn!

There is going to be a get together in Houston on March 16th. Look in the Texas section of get togethers. It will be a good time and very informational. I attended last year as a newbie and was helped tremendously.
