    Default Hello All for Long Island/New York, NY

    New to straight razor shaving and looking forward to starting. Been thinking about it awhile, and signed up here to learn as much as I can before I butcher my face, haha

    Welcome. This is a great hobby/avocation. There's a ton of info to be found on this site. Learn all you can and be rewarded with the best shaves ever!

    I will be sure to hit you up Joe. Where on the south shore? From NHP myself, but am in Wantagh now.

    I actually just ordered this set

    Dovo 5/8 INOX Stainless Straight Razor Set

    I feel like I got a great deal for 220 USD, but want to get some input from some more experienced users. I was looking at razors only, but came across it, and it being a Dovo 5/8 stainless steel, i just couldn't pass it us.

    Thoughts?

    I'm in merrick, but my in laws live in wantagh and since they watch my kids every day I'm there morning and evening.
