    Default Returning to the straight

Just getting back into straight shaving. Picked up a new dovo and got it shave ready. Now to get a good brush. I am a retired truck driver who is into making knives, vintage camp stoves, and primitive skills.

Just out of personal curiosity, you say you are getting back to SR, if you don't mind saying, why did you leave. After using an SR for several months, the few times I have been forced to use alternative shavers I have regretted just not skipping a shave that day.

Welcome back to the fold. I know what coming back to straight shaving feels like.

For my part, I put my SRs aside for a few years and have recently gotten back in. Just crazy busy trying to turn a short-term job into more stable employment (successfully, I'm glad to say). It's not that the shave takes longer, I would just put off refreshes longer and longer until I just become accustomed to using the DE all the time. I did get to know my DE well, and still played w/ soaps etc. Good to be back though!
    Keep your pivot dry!
