Thanked: 1Hello from Kansas
Hello, all
My name is Brandon. I prefer to wear a beard, but due to my career choice I gotta go clean shaven. I told myself years ago that if I was ever required to shave on a daily basis, I would at least shave like a man. Got my Dovo from SRD and I've got about a week under my belt with it and getting better every day. Looking forward to being a part of the ranks here in the manliest of forums.
Cheers,
Brandon

Thanked: 1Have you ever used srd shaving soap? I'm having a hard time creating the type of lather I've seen in various video tutorials. It also seems to dry out on my face (although I'm admittedly still a little slow with my passes!).

No hard feelings at all, the flames were beautiful, a very nice picnic. What a lovely summers day.
Nothing wrong with SRD soap I use it all the time. If you are still trying to master the craft and the lather is drying too soon, do not hesitate to whip it back to life and re apply as needed. It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Add a bit of water to your brush now and again Drogo. Or zip over to CVS and grab some glycerin and mix it up ... then add some cream too ! Balm you got an Ubber lather lol.
Or you know, just dip the tips of your brush into some water and bring back your lather to life. You also might be shaking too much of the water out before you start. Keep playing with it. It takes a bit of practice getting your lather down. I started with creams - it was a bit easier.David
