Hello from Kentucky.
I finally got fed up with paying $5 per cartridge for razors and switched to a Safety Razor. I have been shaving with it and really enjoy the whole process. I am going to add a straight razor to my routine. I'd love to learn. My great grandfather was a barber and my dad still has some of his straight razors. I am going to have a look at them and see if they need to be restored. I'd love to have them on hand and use them. Nothing better than a straight razor with a story!
I've been reading over the forum and really appreciate the wealth of knowledge. Looking forward to learning more.

Welcome to the forum!
I too have several razors handed down and it is very special to shave with a razor used by one of our forefathers.
Lots of info here as you know. Read a lot, watch lots of videos, found here Videos, and it'll put you ahead of the game.
Enjoy the forum and again, Welcome!!
Regards,
Howard

Welcome to the forum! Yes, lots of pics, it's always fascinating to see what's out there, and using a straight has and is awesome, from using all the different brands, grinds, and sizes, it's fun to evolve a choice of choice of blades that you can pick from and shave with depending on the mood of that day.
And as DennisBarberShop has had to experience, many of the members here will begin to live vicariously through you, us all dreaming of owning our own little barber shops, where we're paid to collect beautiful razors and use them on great people all day...you know, the glamorous life you lead!!
