    Default Hola!

Fairly new to DE shaving and brand new to Straight Razor shaving. I used to hate shaving, always got razor burn, always got in-grown hairs and pimples due to shaving. Can't even remember what made me even want to try DE shaving. I had been thinking about wanting to get into it, my wife picked me up a PSG gift set from a local "old timey general store" that contained a sea splash, shave soap, and shave jelly. While visiting my parents during the new year I saw an old Gillette box on a shelf in my dad's garage. I opened it up and inside was a 1960's Gillette Tech DE razor never been used, had $0.49 on the box. I took it home with me and after my first shave I was hooked. No razor burn, smooth shave, no in-grown hairs, no pimples...perfect shave. Been shaving daily with it since then.
I picked up a 100% Best Badger brush and some Astra Superior Platinum blades.
Then, I found out my wife's uncle collected old razors, he had an old Boker Red Injun 101 that was in dire need of some TLC. I spent a few hours cleaning it up, then ordered some Norton honing stones. Spent a good amount of time setting the bevel and getting it honed. My wife got me a Illinois razor strop for valentines day and my first shave with it will be in the morning.

Sorry this is so long, just figured I'd give a proper background and introduction.
