Good time of day from Israel!
Good time of day!
I'm a pretty new straight razor user. I use Dovo's "Best Quality" as primary shaver for about a year.
My starting reference was "The Art of the Straight Razor Shave" by Moss.
I use 8k hone (nameless) and 3 strops: cheap leather with Dovo's red paste, cheap artificial "leather" with black and good leather with yellow paste. I also have an unused canvas side on the late and one never-used good leather strop. I'd be glad for any suggestions on optimal use of mentioned above.
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to SRP!! Glad to have you here .
I started with a Dovo "Best." I still love the thing; even with all the others I have amassed.
As for how to use what you have in the most effective way... I'll leave that to others. All I know is every razor has a personality and ultimately - you got to find out what she likes. Good luck!David

Hi and welcome. For the moment I would leave the last strop and start reading the different forums. It won't be long before you find something to try. There are a lot of sprays, pastes, powders, etc so a good read on all of them will take a while. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed

G'day and welcome to the forum. I think that it would be worth your while looking for a finishing stone to use after the 8k. Plenty of choice around depending on what appeals to you most. Japanese naturals (JNATS), German Thuringians and Eschers, Belgian Coticule and even the Chinese 12k are all worth looking at.
