Thanked: 1Hello from East Texas
Hello everyone, found your wonderful site here a few weeks ago and have learned a lot. Thank you all for the wonderfully informative posts.
I pulled out my great uncles no name ("Columbian" etched on the blade, "hand ground" imprinted on the tang) razor, honed her up and began shaving the right way after reading up on the proper way to hone. SWMBO bought me the Dovo Ebony "Silver Steel" Straight Razor Set from Vintage blades the other day, and it is awesome. I love shaving with my straights, though I am still working toward a nick free shave around my chin and on the back of my head.

Nice place. My Dad's family lived in Alto for a while. I am in Houston now. Plenty to learn here. Enjoy!
