Thread: Randy in Idaho

Hi all. Hope to join in and get some advice on getting started. I have a new Hess #35 razor, and a very old strop (which I cannot find). The razor came out of the box honed to some state, but is not shave-ready. I'll post some pictures in the appropriate forum and hopefully get some equipment answers there. I have reviewed all of Lynn Abram's videos, and have looked at a bunch of others. I just got set up with a DE razor set up that I will work with for a while before taking the first straight blade stroke on my face for certain. Fun times ahead (without too much blood I hope).

I looked up Glen. He is in Idaho at least. Not TOO far - 498 miles according to Google. A little far for an afternoon get-together I think. Oh well...
