Thanked: 43Great choice with the Naniwa set, but reserve them all for straight razors only.
You will damage them by sharpening large knives. They have a tendency to damage the hone edges. Smaller curved ones will wear them where you want your hone very flat.
You can get a King 1000 grit waterstone for a little under $30 on the Bay and it is capable of doing great things for your kitchen cutlery.
