Welcome to SRP!
You have come to the right place to learn all there is to know about shaving with a str8 razor. The members here are some of the nicest folks you'll ever be associated with and are more than happy to answer any of your questions. Don't be afraid to ask questions, all of us had to when we started. Just post your question and someone will chime in shortly with an answer.
You are a step ahead of most of us here as you were already wet shaving, all you have to learn is how to use a str8 razor. Be sure to watch plenty of videos, here is a link for you to check out; Shaving videos - Straight Razor Place Library

welcome! im sure most of us agree with the title of your thread. I know a lot of guys that stepped into straights from de's. like DoughBoy68 said, youre ahead of the learning curve knowing how to prep. keep the de handy and maybe ease into the straights, use the straight razor on the cheeks only first and finish up with the de first few times to get a hang of the angles and feel. enjoy the new skills!
