    Default Hello for Houston

I have been using a DE for 2 years now. I decided to take the plunge and try a SR. I have been using the SR for roughly two weeks. So far I have had minimal cuts but the shave has been poor compared to the DE. Each day I get a little better and the shave is becoming smoother.

My current problem area is my neck. To get a quality shave I need to do ATG which is side to side on my neck. That is quite a hard angle for me and my wrist. I will get it soon.

The forum is great and has a lot of useful information.

    Welcome to SRP, jbsanders.
You could use your DE on the neck until you are more proficient with the straight.

+1 to that, it will help build confidence and allow time to train the muscles in the hands and wrist.

I found with the neck if I rotate my wrist and use my fingers as the guide I can keep a more consistent angle and for me that has greatly reduced nicks don't get any on my neck anymore it is now just the chin I've yet to stop getting nicks on :-P hopefully this helps ya a little :-)

Thanks for the feedback. I used the DE a couple times to give myself and break on the neck area.
