Howdy
Hey everyone. I've been lurking here for a bit an decided to stop in and say hi. I'm on my second attempt at straight shaving. The first go didn't end well but I think it's because I didn't have the patience for it. I've also had a chance to work on my overall wet shaving technique so I'm hoping for better results this time around. Anyway, I look forward to learning as much as I can from everyone here.

Well welcome in... Back
during the learning a bit of patience is merited,
now I can knock out a full three passes in 10 min including lather making and post shave routine.
I have to admit it is not my preferred method.

Thanked: 1936Glad to have you Patrick!
Lets start out on the right foot: Find a mentor. If you can put aside the male ego for just a bit and meet up with a person who has been at this sport a while (mentor) it will help you out more than you can imagine. This is why we encourage folks to go into their profile and add their city, state to their member information. If you are anywhere near my area, please contact me via PM and I will help you transition from newb to veteran shaver in no time (typically takes about 30 shaves for it all to come together). If we are too far apart, I'm quite sure there are others who will gladly show you the ropes.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott
